BRAINSTORM is a darkly comic thriller set in a high-tech underground laboratory where brilliant scientist Chris and his adopted daughter Abby are racing against a military deadline to perfect their revolutionary brain-mapping machine.

When Abby's social media influencer sister Kate unexpectedly arrives for an impromptu birthday celebration, family tensions collide with cutting-edge science in increasingly dangerous ways. As the trio navigates sibling rivalries, hidden agendas, and the ethical implications of their groundbreaking technology, they discover that some scientific breakthroughs come with consequences far beyond what they ever imagined.

This wickedly funny cautionary tale explores the intersection of family dysfunction, digital ambition, and the terrifying possibilities of artificial intelligence—all while asking the question: what happens when our greatest achievements become our greatest threats?

The play has a cast of five (two are “shadow bots” that are heard, but only seen as silhouettes) plus one body double. It uses a single room set and runs about 95 minutes.
